FPIK UMI Strengthens Quality Assurance through the 2026 Internal Quality Audit

Makassar — The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK) of Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) continues to strengthen its commitment to sustainable quality improvement through the implementation of the 2026 Internal Quality Audit (AMI) across its three undergraduate study programs: Aquaculture, Fisheries Resources Utilization, and Marine Science.

The Internal Quality Audit is an integral part of UMI’s Internal Quality Assurance System and serves as an important mechanism for evaluating the implementation of academic and non-academic standards within the faculty. Through this activity, each study program reviews the implementation of educational processes, governance, human resources, research, community service, and other quality assurance components.

The audit activities were conducted in the respective study program offices. The Aquaculture Study Program held its audit on 20–24 August 2026, while the Marine Science Study Program conducted its AMI on 24–27 August 2026. The implementation of the Internal Quality Audit across FPIK UMI’s study programs reflects the faculty’s ongoing commitment to fostering a strong culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Through the AMI process, the faculty and its study programs are expected to identify strengths, evaluate areas requiring improvement, and develop strategic follow-up actions to enhance the quality of academic services and institutional performance.

The implementation of the 2026 Internal Quality Audit also serves as a strategic step for FPIK UMI in ensuring that the management and delivery of higher education continue to meet established quality standards and the expectations of stakeholders.

By strengthening collaboration and commitment among all academic members, FPIK UMI remains dedicated to improving the quality of education, research, and community service while producing competent, competitive, and highly qualified graduates in the fields of fisheries and marine science.

The 2026 Internal Quality Audit is expected to further reinforce the culture of continuous improvement at FPIK UMI and support the faculty’s vision of becoming an excellent and competitive institution in fisheries and marine science education.
