Makassar, August 12, 2026 — Students of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK), Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI), received educational financial assistance from Yayasan Baitul Maal PLN (YBM PLN). The assistance is a form of concern and support for the students’ continued education.
The handover ceremony was held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the Prof. Dr. Ir. Muh. Natsir Nessa, MS Meeting Room. The event was attended by Dean of FPIK UMI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hj. Hasnidar, MS., IPM., members of the FPIK UMI leadership, and the student recipients of the assistance.
On the occasion, the Dean of FPIK UMI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hj. Hasnidar, MS., IPM., expressed her deepest gratitude to YBM PLN for the assistance and attention given to FPIK UMI students.
According to the Dean, the educational financial assistance is highly meaningful in helping students meet their educational needs while encouraging them to remain motivated throughout their studies.
“We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Yayasan Baitul Maal PLN for the assistance provided to FPIK UMI students. We hope this assistance will be utilized wisely and provide meaningful support for the students’ educational journey,” said Prof. Dr. Ir. Hj. Hasnidar, MS., IPM.
For the recipients, the assistance is expected to help ease their educational expenses while motivating them to remain enthusiastic in their studies and strive for academic achievement.
