Makassar, August 12, 2026 — Students of the Marine Science Study Program, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK), Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) received educational financial assistance from Yayasan Baitul Maal PLN (YBM PLN). The assistance represents a meaningful form of support for students in continuing their higher education.
The handover ceremony was held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the Prof. Dr. Ir. Muh. Natsir Nessa, MS Meeting Room. The event was attended by Dean of FPIK UMI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hj. Hasnidar, MS., IPM., FPIK UMI leadership, and students from the Marine Science Study Program who received the assistance.
The assistance is expected to help Marine Science students meet their educational needs and support the smooth completion of their studies. As students who are being prepared to contribute to the sustainable management and conservation of marine and coastal resources, continued educational support is an important part of developing their academic potential.
The Dean of FPIK UMI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hj. Hasnidar, MS., IPM., expressed her deepest gratitude to YBM PLN for its concern and support for FPIK UMI students.
