Aquaculture Students of FPIK UMI Receive Educational Assistance from YBM PLN

Makassar, August 12, 2026 — Students of the Aquaculture Study Program, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK), Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) received educational financial assistance from Yayasan Baitul Maal PLN (YBM PLN). The assistance represents a meaningful form of support for students in continuing their education and developing their potential in the aquaculture sector.

The handover ceremony was held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the Prof. Dr. Ir. Muh. Natsir Nessa, MS Meeting Room. The event was attended by Dean of FPIK UMI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hj. Hasnidar, MS., IPM., members of the FPIK UMI leadership, and students of the Aquaculture Study Program who received the assistance.

The educational assistance is expected to help Aquaculture students meet their educational needs and support the smooth continuation of their studies. More importantly, the support is expected to encourage students to continue developing their knowledge and skills in aquaculture management, fish and aquatic organism production, and sustainable aquaculture practices.

The Aquaculture Study Program at FPIK UMI continues to prepare students with academic knowledge and practical competencies to contribute to the development of a productive, innovative, and environmentally responsible aquaculture sector. Educational support from various stakeholders plays an important role in encouraging students to achieve their academic and professional goals.

On the occasion, Dean of FPIK UMI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hj. Hasnidar, MS., IPM., expressed her deepest gratitude to YBM PLN for the attention and support provided to FPIK UMI students.

“We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Yayasan Baitul Maal PLN for the assistance provided to our students. We hope this support will be utilized wisely and become a motivation for students to continue learning, achieving, and completing their education successfully,” said Prof. Dr. Ir. Hj. Hasnidar, MS., IPM.

For the Aquaculture students, the assistance is expected to ease their educational needs while strengthening their motivation to learn, achieve, and develop their competencies in the field of aquaculture.

FPIK UMI, particularly the Aquaculture Study Program, appreciates YBM PLN’s commitment to supporting student education. This collaboration is expected to continue and contribute to the development of competent, innovative, and environmentally conscious graduates who can support the sustainable growth of the aquaculture sector.
