Makassar, August 12, 2026 — Students of the Fisheries Resources Utilization Study Program (PSP), Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK), Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) received educational financial assistance from Yayasan Baitul Maal PLN (YBM PLN). The assistance represents a meaningful form of concern and support for the students’ continued education.
The handover ceremony was held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the Prof. Dr. Ir. Muh. Natsir Nessa, MS Meeting Room. The event was attended by Dean of FPIK UMI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hj. Hasnidar, MS., IPM., members of the FPIK UMI leadership, and students of the Fisheries Resources Utilization Study Program who received the assistance.
The educational assistance is expected to help PSP students meet their educational needs and support the smooth continuation of their studies. The support also serves as motivation for students to further develop their knowledge and skills in the sustainable utilization and management of fisheries resources.
As part of FPIK UMI, the Fisheries Resources Utilization Study Program continues to encourage students to develop the knowledge and competencies needed to manage fisheries resources responsibly and sustainably. Educational support such as this is expected to help students prepare to become competent graduates who can contribute to the development of the fisheries sector.
On the occasion, Dean of FPIK UMI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hj. Hasnidar, MS., IPM., expressed her deepest gratitude to YBM PLN for its attention and support for FPIK UMI students.
